I bought this mouse after returning a Logitec at the same price that wasn't nearly as responsive as I had hoped.
This is a great simple mouse with no bells and whistles, just two primary buttons, and a scroll wheel.
The usb attachment that goes into your computer is a little larger than I would like, but it has not been to much of a hassle. Also, it does clip into the bottom of the mouse, but it does not fit flush, as other mice adapters do. This makes the mouse not as travel friendly as some of its competitors, but it still gets the job done at a reasonable price.
The only way to turn the mouse off is by taking the usb stick out of your computer and latching it onto the bottom of the mouse to keep the on button pushed off. This is a little odd, as it would seem to be as effective to just put an on/off button at the bottom that you could depress. Turing the mouse off has not been that big of deal though, since the battery life is exceptional, lasting about 4-5 months without ever turning it off.
The biggest problem is using it with Windows Vista. Leave it to Microsoft to make an accessory that doesn't fit perfectly with its OS. The problem is this: if you leave your mouse hooked up to your computer, it disables your screen saver, so your desktop will be on as long as the mouse is in, which can be pretty bad for your processor, and your monitor lamp. If your screen saver is disabled, your computer can't turn the monitor off, and then can't go into sleep mode or shut down.
I've been told that this is not a problem with XP, just Vista. But can be a problem if you have a laptop with Vista and want to conserve power.
