Excellent Moral To Learn

Mrs. Doubtfire's cast of characters were the everyday,
run-of-the-mill and true-to-life kind of people....portraying less-than-perfect lives, which most of us can identify with to some degree.


The story line focuses on an innocently childlike man, who was more loving and naive than he was accountable and reliable and tried and failed in all his well-meant endeavors as a husband and father.

His wife, the responsible and mature adult in the family, couldn't raise the children and the irresponsible father any longer.
She divorced him.

During the course and aftermath of the divorce, all the hilarious events unfolds along with all the disheartening.....

The father's past and current gullible incautiousness lands him with limited visitation privileges with his children, which is a dilemma he can't bear to live with. Hence, the birth of Mrs. Doubtfire, a very comical and lovable woman.

The father became Mrs. Doubtfire with the help of his friend's
expertise in the profession of cosmetics and disguise. He conjured this fictitious motherly-type character in order to apply for the nanny position that his ex-wife was advertising. It was his unique and bizarre solution to his problem of not seeing his children enough so he could be with his them as much as he wanted.....

Mrs. Doubtfire became closely trusted and loved by his ex-wife
and shared many woman-to-woman talks. As Mrs. Doubtfire, he gained insight to his ex-wife's personality and character and learned a side of her that he hadn't been able to see as her husband. He made some hilarious mistakes as his Mrs.Doubtfire character, including trying to break up his ex-wife's relationship with her new boyfriend and to win her over again by using what he had learned from his personal relationship with her as Mrs. Doubtfire.

Oddly enough, the Mrs. Doubtfire character was so lovable and charming, that it landed him a television show for children. He used his Mrs. Doubtfire character to teach children and amuse them. His Mrs. Doubtfire persona also taught him lessons he hadn't learned as himself.

The moral to this beautifully executed story is that it doesn't matter if children are from divorced families, they are still loved by both parents, and that the love a family once shared together...they still share and doesn't change because they divorced.
