Dreamcast has many sports games, but none like NFL 2K. This is the gridiron of football. Being the first sports game to come out I rushed to get this. To my surprise it turned out to be the best football game is have ever played!(so far...NFL2k1??)I will break down why this game is so good:
Graphics: 10/10
This game is a joy to look at. With so far the best graphics of any football game, you just want to play more and more because it is fun to look at everything in great detail. The stadiums, players, the ball,.. anything but the crowd looks beautiful. The crowd is still 2D and kind of boring to be honest.That is the ONLY minus in the graphical area.
Gameplay: 10/10
Like all football games, if you are going to play the game it has to be fun and amusing. NFL 2K delivers both of that with it's awesome game. Whether you are playing a season, or against a friend, this game really delivers. Imagine being down by 3 with 10 sec. left on the one yard line. You pass the bomb to Randy Moss and he fakes out everybody for the TD and the win!! That is what gameplay is all about.
Sound: 9/10
Unlike the commentary in World Series Baseball 2K1, NFL 2K is actually not bad to hear them talk. There is a two man commentary and they are very informative telling the score each quarter and making jokes throughout the game. The sound effects with the crushing of the helmets, the grunts, and the whistles also sound great.
Value: 8/10
This game will always be fun. With a huge season mode, and fun exhibition and 2 player play, this game has a lot to give.Also with the create a player it will add even more worth while when you play a season with you on the team !!
