Pros: Nothing worth mentioning here.
Cons: Every add on and change they made.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for an arcade style Hockey game this is a worthy pick up. If you want a simulation Hockey game stay with NHL 2001.

Review: As always I am looking foreword to the new wave of EA Sports games to come out. September through November is like an early Christmas for me buying all the new Ea sport games (except the Triple Play series). With the Hockey series, as my personal...

Pros: Better opponent A.I., more realistic play on ice.
Cons: Sub-par graphics, terrible reporting, non-existent A.I. for your team.
The Bottom Line: This game gives the phrase "Artificial stupidity" a whole new meaning.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: With the release of NHL 2002, EA Sports has reached its limit. With a game that is worse that the original NHL Hockey, released in 1994, the NHL franchise by EA Sports has come to an end. At least for me, as the last three games kept lowering my...

Pros: Tried and true gameplay, excellent tutorial
Cons: Not different enough from NHL 2001, the color commentator has to go
The Bottom Line: NHL 2002 is another good hockey game, but not worth full price given its similarity to last year's version. For $20, though, this game is well worth a purchase.

Review: In the beginning, there was hockey, and it was good. Then, there were computers, and they were good as well. Then came along Electronic Arts, who paired the two, and all was well, year after year after year.

Pros: Still has the solid physics and gameplay from NHL 2001
Cons: Got too cartoony, annoying unfunny color commentary, Old rosters and no updates yet
The Bottom Line: If you need to have the latest version because Mario is on the box or whatever then buy it, otherwise get NHL 2001 and know you're not missing much.

Review: EASports has a near impeccable record when it comes to hockey games. Ever since I played NHLPA 95 for the Sega Genesis I was hooked. NHL 2001 was a the undisputed king of all sports games. It didn't hurt it had Owen Nolan on the cover(GO SHARKS!)...

Pros: Great graphics, realistic hockey, very in depth customizable options, Import Face/Music!!!
Cons: Need a GOOD computer, Still a little Arcade-like. Nothing really new graphically.
The Bottom Line: EA Sports continues its hockey DOMINATION with NHL 2002, and with lots of new features, online play, and awesome gameplay, you just can not go wrong, this game is AWESOME!

Review: I was not hesitant at all about buying my first NHL game on the PC. I've been playing the console hockey games ever since NHL Hockey (1991) all the way up until last years NHL 2001. Last year, I bought a Pentium III 1 GHz computer with 256 Megs of...

Pros: Ditty imports, good for non-hockey fans who want huge goals and low save percentages
Cons: Terrible for the real fans, dumb team AI, unfair opponents
The Bottom Line: If you want to be satisfied, hockey wise, this is definitely not your game. It's like candy, good at first, but will leave you barfing in the end.

Review: If I find out the demographic or type of person that they REALLY made this game for, I'm gonna wipe them out. EA Sports, have proudly held the NHL franchise as their flagship, but now, it's completely gone under. The underwhelming NHL 2003 shows...

Pros: Gameplay is perfect. You can simulate the Olympics with all the international teams.
Cons: Graphics are mediocre. Announcers need to be fired.
The Bottom Line: This is a fun game with some obvious shortcomings. EA Sports has found a good combination to use, and they've stuck with it.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: EA Sports has made the quintessential hockey simulation in NHL 2002. It is the next step in a long line of hockey games dating back to NHLPA '93 for Sega Genesis, which I also own. Each year EA Sports comes out with a new version of its hockey games...

Pros: Good graphics, great gameplay, easy to learn, FUN!
Cons: Colour Commentary, some sounds are bad.
The Bottom Line: A great hockey game, one of the best out there. If you like hockey games, buy it, if you don't then don't buy it.

Review: I bought NHL 99 for my Nintendo 64, and after many years of playing, I've now realized it was probably the best game for that system. It kept me entertained for hours and hours. However, after a couple of years, naturally, I got sort of bored of it...
