Author's Review
Recent comedies are not usually the comedy we expect. They try to use new styles, which not many people know. Now we have come to a movie, where everything needed, comedy, plot, and a little emotion, is included. Meet Napoleon Dynamite.
I have watched this movie 2 times due to how much I loved this movie. This movie used the old-style but often-used ways of comedy. You got the kid who looks like a nerd, an older brother with an internet girlfriend, a cool hispanic kid, a llama, and of course, the back-stabbing uncle.
The movie starts out with pointless scenes, something we can all wonder, but still laugh about when pointed out. Is feeding a llama in the plot of this movie pointless? Yes! But...a llama! Fed! That's the stuff that we don't see but wish for everyday! Something random.
As the movie goes along, Napoleon meets Pedro, a new hispanic teen who just moved to his school. Pedro and Napoleon become best friends, and yet, Napoleon has to even ask. Anyway, after a while, Pedro gets into running for School President. With the support of Napoleon himself, and a few pieces of string, Pedro kicks off his race for president.
This is where the emotional part gets in, and by emotional, it isn't drama, but you can see where you feel bad for Napoleon. Uncle Rico starts to back stab Napoleon. Napoleon loses one out of his 2 friends and starts to get upset. How does he deal with the matter? Why of course! Throw oranges!
The time comes for speeches. Pedro's opponent, kicks off her speech with promising some pretty stupid stuff. And yet again, dancing to the backstreet boys. Pedro promises the crowd to make their dreams come true if they vote for him. Left without a skit, Napoleon comes in. What does he do? Does he cover him? Yes, but how?
Dancing. A classic.
A little pelvic thrusts and slick touching, Napoleon had the moves.
Of course, I cannot reveil the ending for those who still haven't seen the movie. Surprisingly, it's still in theatres! Check it out in a theatre near you!
Over all, this is a definite 5 star comedy. God.
