PCS 1350 partially supported

The HP 1350 All-in-one printer is partially supported by this print server. I purchased the NetGear PS121 from CompUSA because I wanted to share the USB All-in-one printer with all computers on my LAN. Here are the steps I took to install the HP software and print server on a Windows 2000 Pro workstation and Windows 98SE laptop on the same network.

1) Install basic HP printer drivers on desired computer.
2) Physically connect the HP printer when the installation software prompts you to do so.
3) Finish installing the printer drivers.
4) Disconnect the HP printer, and reconnect it to the Print Server.
5) Install Print server software from NetGear CD.
6) Run the "Add Printer Port Wizard" (do this on all computers).
7) Select the 1350 printer from the list when prompted.
8) Exit the "Add Printer Port Wizard".
9) Open the Control Panel and select the 1350 printer.
10) Right-click and uncheck the "offline" option.
11) Open the printer properties and choose to print a test page.

On both computers, I had to physically connect the printer to the local USB port in order to finish the driver installation. This is apparently a problem on HP's side, not NetGear's. Once the driver is installed, it is available as a printer from the Print Server. I also noticed that I had to uncheck the "offline" option on the printer before I could use it.
