Next Friday delivers what it promises. Funny in parts and silly at other times. What I like about this movie is its touch with reality that lends authenticity to the story.

Ice Cube knows what the audience wants and cooks up a perfect dish that's easy to digest. The characters are well played out.

This movie is in a much lighter vein than Friday. Day-Day (Ice Cube's cousin in the movie) complements Ice Cube well and the two make a funny combination. Their flicks with a bunch of shady neighbors adds some spice to the movie.

This movie is for someone looking for fun and someone who's out to enjoy himself/herself.

Watch it if you like comedies. You don't get to see many these days.
