Not Bad, But There's Probably Better Out There
Pros:
It's sleek, light weight and attractive.
Cons:
It offers SO many options = difficult to manuever.
The Bottom Line:
Good camera for someone who'll read the manual and learn all the features - definitely not foolproof. Not recommended for total novices.

Author's Review
My husband surprised me with this camera for Christmas 2008.
It's very attractive - sleek, light weight, overall good looking.
It's pretty easy to use. I'm not one for manuals and instructions. I like to test, try and shoot with my cameras. It was fairly easy to do this. However, there are so many features - that you really have to review the manual to get the best use of this camera.
I've perused the manual a bit now and again, and can manuever around fairly well - but it can be difficult. I sometimes can't remember which button and menu option to go through to get where I want to go. Really it's pretty difficult to change scene settings on the fly - which I like to do. I wish I could instantly set it up to use inside at parties and then outside minutes later filming the kids. It just doesn't seem that user friendly - since there are so many options available.
Also, when having pictures printed, I'm not so sure they are really as good as they should be. I was expecting a higher quality with the 10 megapixels. This probably has to do with me not using the best setting for my type of pictures. Which again has to do with ease of use.
Overall, it's much better that the 8 yr. old digital I had. But is it worth the $ my husband spent??? I'm guessing, probably not. My suggestion is shop around a little better than he may have.
It's a beauty - but not the easiest to use when changing from one type of shooting scene setting to another.
