Nikon D80 18-70mm Zoom

Date of Review:  Feb 7, 2007
Review: A great camera. Low noise and excellent quality results from the 18-70mm zoom included as part of the kit. I can highly recommend this DSLR for serious amateurs or as an additional camera for professionals. I have been using this kit for a few...

Love it

Date of Review:  Jan 23, 2007
Review: Bought the D40 on a whim just before Christmas, had used an SLR years back and then had gone to the small, pocket digital cameras we all know so well. The D40 has been great, a lot of fun, easy to use, and takes great pictures. The shutter speed,...

Wonderfully Executed DSLR for Great Price

Date of Review:  Dec 15, 2007
The Bottom Line: A great camera for any enthusiast looking for either their 1st DSLR or just upgrading. The image quality and flexibility of the camera won't hold you back.
Review: I purchased a D40 a few months ago and now feel that I am ready to review this product.
I could not be happier. I purchased the camera with the included 18-55mm lens along with a 55-200 VR Nikon Lens. The quality of the included lens and the...

Best SLR value w/ a caveat

Date of Review:  Dec 5, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you want an SLR you won't go wrong getting this camera.
Review: Without question this is the best under $500 SLR body value available today. The bundled 18-55 mm lens makes it an amazing package. Image quality is amazing and except for a small quirk noted below, the camera works well even in "Program" mode. It...

Paper Jams

Date of Review:  Nov 25, 2006
Review: This printer requires manually feeding a single sheet at a time. The Paper Jam warning comes up on the computer. There is no paper jam it just won't pick up the paper.

Nikon sells a D200 for $700 less!

Date of Review:  Sep 5, 2006
The Bottom Line: For most folks (they might not want to admit it!), the D80 is more camera than they'll ever need and then some.
Review: This is my UPDATED review of the D80. Sadly, some members gave me a "somewhat helpful" rating which made this review only "somewhat viewable." This happened even though I clearly said it was a bit of a teaser until I could give a more comprehensive...

Small, and easy, and just too fun to use, the Nikon D40.

Date of Review:  Jul 1, 2007
The Bottom Line: This Nikon is important to anyone looking for a great starter/basic DSLR. Canon's Xt has now got some great competition, and that makes it better for everyone.
Review: Firstly this is the camera replacement for the venerable D50. Primed before release to be called the "D60" Nikon decided instead on the "D40" name.

Accordingly announced on November16,2006, it steps up to the plate to go squarely against...

HP PhotoSmart 2575 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Date of Review:  Jul 10, 2006
The Bottom Line: Print, copy and fax in style. The HP PhotoSmart All-In-One Printer is not just a printer, it's an office necessity.
Review: In the summer of 1998, I worked as a camp counselor at St. Matthews in Brooklyn, with kids ages 4 through 7 years of age. It was great experience and one that built my desire to work with children in my future.

During one of my lunch...

Too Many Problems

Date of Review:  Jun 22, 2006

Nikon D80

Date of Review:  Mar 26, 2007
Review: The D80 is easily the best digital camera I have ever owned. I upgraded from the D100 and the difference is night and day. The D80 has a fast accurate auto focus and takes all of my old Nikon F mount lenses (so there is no need to purchase new...
