One-Stop Lens?

If there's a single lens that covers most needs, this one is it. It works on 35mm or digital cameras, acting like a 35-180mm zoom on the latter. Coupled with the Nikon 12-24mm zoom, I've shot about 90% of my photos with these two. It's 5-to-1 zoom ratio makes it especially useful compared to just about anything else that goes this wide. I wish Nikon would decide whether the zoom ring goes in front or back (prefer back), but this is a winner. I'm especially impressed by the vibration reduction feature on a lens this inexpensive -- it works too. I haven't critically examined sharpness at the extremes or its range -- but for taking photos and printing them in the 8x10 range, it's excellent.
