Should you buy the 70-300mm Nikon?

This is not a bad lens, if you are on a budget. I have compared this lens and the 75-300, and like the older 75-300 better. Both of these lenses are not the best lenses in the world, first of all, but they will get by if you are an amateur or beginner. If you cannot find a 75-300, then this lens will get you by. I haven't tried the aftermarket lenses, which might be a better choice because in this case, you are buying a nikon lens that is not a true nikon lens in terms of construction, image quality, ect. If you have a regular nikon 28-80, and like the quality of those images, than this lens will work great for you. If you have more money that you know what to do with, get the new 24-85 nikon, or even better the 28-70 2.8
