Pros:
Great pictures, easy to use, very little learning curve to get going.
Cons:
bulkier than a point and shoot
The Bottom Line:
This camera is great for those either breaking into professional photography or who just want a little more control in their pictures. Not good for parties.

I bought this camera from Circuit City days before going on a cruise. I had looked all over the net and found one deal which turned out to be a scam and found that Circuit City had probably the best deal of any local brick and mortar store.
Learning to use the basic functions of the camera took me around 10 minutes of playing (at most). I still haven't quite learned all the advanced features but I've been able to take some very nice shots.
The only thing I can say bad about this camera is the fact that its pretty big so taking it places poses a problem (not good for taking pictures of nights out or big parties). But that is the nature of the beast with SLRs.
Overall, this is a great camera for those who are looking to have more control than just point and shoot. I've used it to take some great wilderness shots and some high res. stuff for poster sized images, but I'm still sticking to my much cheaper point and shoot camera for parties and nights out. I'm too afraid that someone will snatch the big camera from me when I'm not paying attention.
