Great on Gas!
Pros:
Excellent fuel economy, smooth ride, looks sporty yet sophisticated
Cons:
Haven't found any yet
The Bottom Line:
Ditch the gas guzzler for this. It looks great, drives great, and my Allstate rep says it's one of the safest sedans on the road.

I traded my Ford F-150 a few months ago for one of these, because my truck was breaking me up in gas. I was lucky to get 15 mpg in the truck. I was ready to cry at first, because I loved my truck, (despite the bad fuel economy)but after a few days, my sadness turned to happiness when I realized that I could drive all week on a tank of gas and average about 32 mpg.
The Altima also has a fuel economy gauge that tells you how you are doing, so it really helps you to understand how your driving habits affect fuel economy. I also love the smooth ride of the Altima and it's sleek design. I think it looks better than the Camry and it is slightly cheaper. I bought the base model and it still has a lot of great options, such as power windows and locks, gauge for fuel economy, outside temperature display, keyless entry, keyless start(push-button ignition), etc. I really like that it tells you approximately how many more miles you can drive before needing to refuel.
I miss the extra seating that my truck had, but I realize that the trade-off for the fuel economy was worth it. The few times that I need more passenger room, my husband and I are better off taking 2 vehicles, rather than driving a gas guzzler every day of the week. If you have a large family like I do(there are 6 of us) and are worried about not having enough room, get creative and think about how many times your entire family is in the same vehicle together. For us, I realized that we only need the passenger room on some weekends and on vacation, so then, we just take 2 cars. If you don't have a big family, then get out of that SUV or other gas guzzler and get an Altima. You won't regret it.
