Pros: Dependability

Cons: Rear Seats, No cruise control

The Bottom Line: Nissan has always been a good value for my money. You should get a truck that will spend more time on the road than in the shop.

I bought my 2000 Nissan new & here are a few of my thoughts:

Exterior

Nissan has done an excellent job with the body style of this model. My truck is a beautiful silver with chrome front and rear bumpers. I work in construction and the heavy duty bed liner looks new even though I have hauled lumber, bricks and everything in between. Unfortunately after 2000 they added a large plastic grill & tire guards that make the newer trucks look unsightly.

Interior
I purchased mine with bucket seats & a center console. I have ample leg room and plenty of space to store cassettes & C.D's. The factory radio has superior sound with adjustable bass & treble controls. The biggest drawback is the rear jump seats. They are too small for the average person to ride comfortably. Also, after driving my first road trip I regretted not having the cruise control installed.

Engine / Transmission
The four cylinder engine has good acceleration and great fuel mileage. I have the 4 speed automatic transmission. After 36,000 miles it has never been to a mechanic.

Ride

It handles like your typical small truck. I also own a 1998 Ford Explorer, and the suspension / ride is ten times better in my Nissan.
