Very good quality sound

This easy to use recorder provides great audio quality. I've only ever used it with an external microphone though, so I'm not sure if it would be adequate on its own. But with the mike, I can record interviews at high enough quality to play on the local radio news.

Most common functions are obvious without needing the manual. It's light and small enough to fit in my pocket.
It holds hours of recordings, even at high quality. The audio level indicator is extremely useful. I've done a few hours of recording and the battery meter is still on full.

Five folders help me keep different stories organized. Finally, you can connect it to your computer and use it as external portable storage.

One problem is that I have to convert the Windows audio format before I can edit it. At least it's not their own format, so converters are available, but they really should use WAV or even MPEG to save the trouble.

Another problem is that you have to install their software before you can interface it with your computer. So you can't use it to transfer files or give someone your audio.
