The Olympus Camedia D 560Z A Good Choice for your first Digital Camera?

Date of Review:  Aug 10, 2003
The Bottom Line: The Olympus Camedia D 560Z is a great choice if you are looking for a feature rich entry-level digital camera
Review: For the past few years the Olympus Corporation has been an aggressive competitor in the digital camera marketplace providing an incredibly broad range of choices for consumers. Olympus' product development folks have concentrated on introducing...

Not a perfect fit for me, but maybe a perfect fit for you!

Date of Review:  Mar 26, 2004
The Bottom Line: Perfectly fine little camera that is a good value for the money. I didn't fall in love with it, but you might!
Review: Brief blurb about my digicam experience: since I wrote my first digital camera review, at which time I was not very familiar with them, I've used about 10 different types digital cameras, both for fun smiley snapshots and for boring work-related...

Not designed for me, but very good nonetheless

Date of Review:  Oct 15, 2003
The Bottom Line: A great camera for non-enthusiasts, with excellent color, focus and exposure. Poor low-light focus and red-eye, however. Strongly recommended for the point and shoot crowd.
Review: I didn't buy this camera, rather it was issued to me at work. I'll preface this review by saying that this camera was not designed for me, but rather for someone not interested in the mechanics of photography and only interested in taking good...

Great Camera at a Great Price

Date of Review:  Apr 26, 2003
The Bottom Line: At this price I don't believe you can find a camera with better picture quality. I tested 5 before deciding on this one.
Review: I received this camera, as a gift, 2 weeks ago. I started taking great pictures right out of the box. The camera's menu mode is simple to use and easy to navigate. The LED is crystal clear and the viewfinder is just like my SLR on my 35mm camera...

Could Be Better

Date of Review:  Apr 15, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you are looking to make enlargements, go with higher Mega Pixels. If you're a beginner, this is the camera for you!
Review: Olympus is a trusted name in Digital Cameras, so when we bought the Olympus Camedia 3.2 Mega Pixels in 2003/2004 we though we made the right choice for our first digital camera. Looking back, I still think we did because it is very easy to use. If...

Battery hog, but takes great photos

Date of Review:  Apr 26, 2005
Review: I've never seen a camera suck down the batteries the way this one does. I got this one because I loved the Olympus D480, but I dropped it 2 days before getting married. The D480 sips gently from the batteries, unlike the D560, which gulps it down...

Date of Review:  May 12, 2003
The Bottom Line: Don't get it....battery life is horrible.
Review: Bought the D560 last week at CCity as a birthday present for wife. She had been researching alot online and came up with the D560 as her choice because of the AA batteries but we found very few reviews. After talking to the salesman, he did say it...

Hunk of junk

Date of Review:  May 27, 2006
Review: This is by FAR the worst camera I have ever owned. The most irritating feature is that it takes a full 11 seconds from the time I press the shutter button to the time that I can take the next picture. This is unacceptable when trying to take...

A good starter camera for children

Date of Review:  Jan 8, 2005
Review: Having owned other Olympus cameras I was greatly disappointed with the D-560 and that with picture quality.
It is easy to use, easy to carry and quite a nice package but if you want anything better than web cam picture quality you won't want...

Great camera to buy

Date of Review:  Apr 25, 2003
The Bottom Line: It is well worth the money. The pictures are at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and will be the best pitures you have seen
Review: This camera is full of features from night mode to landscape. The pictures when set to a good resolution come out crystal clear and may be the best pictures i have seen comming from a digital camera. The lens is protected by a sliding cover that...
