It's A Great Buy

I went shopping to find the best digital camera I could buy for the lowest price, and I'd have to say that the FE-100 fills the bill. I have read the professional reviews, and I have to agree. It's quite easy to use. I wondered if its small size might make it cumbersome to use. Not so. The ergonomic design is good, and the controls layout is such that my fingers aren't accidentally placed where they should not be. This is a great camera for anyone going digital for the first time, and if one needs no more zoom capability than 2x optical and 4x digital, great becomes perfect. I especially like the macro setting to get closeups as near as 0.8". My only disappointment is that this camera has no viewfinder, so one can use only the LCD monitor to frame pictures. The display can be difficult to see under bright light conditions. That said, I think the price of the camera makes up for that shortcoming.
