Author's Review
I have been looking at personal organizers for quite a while now and so when my company said we are giving you a Palm VII so that you can do your work better I was intrigued. I have now had it for a while and I have to say I do not know how I ever worked with out it.
The Palm VII has several features that I like. Wireless connectivity, Email, scheduler, address book, and other functions and capability to connect to my PC directly.
With my work I need connectivity to systems continually. The palm VII has a built in wireless modem so I can connect to the programs that I need to and make updates without being at my computer.
Being able to send and receive Email is a plus. I also get directions and keep my schedule here as well and then I keep record of my business activities and the time spent on jobs.
I also when needed synch with my PC so that my Palm VII and PC has the same information and also archive my data.
The Palm VII also allows me to write without using the keyboard using Graffiti. The graffiti takes a little bit of time to learn but once you have it down makes the Palm VII even more efficient and simpler to use.
Well there is also a few things that would make it better. I would like a backlit screen so that Could use it at night without having to find a light source. The Palm VII could also use a color screen.
The Palm VII also has additional accessories such as a full size keyboard, Mac connectivity, USB cable for connectivity to the i-mac or PC.
Since getting MY Palm VII I do not know how I survived with out it.
The Palm VII gets a five star rating for wireless connectivity, five stars for system applications, five stars for ease of use, two stars for the screen, five stars for synchronization to a PC, the palm also gets a bonus for connectivity to mac and imac and ability to get a full size keyboard. so the palm gets an overall score of 5 stars
