Fading But Not Yet Gone

Date of Review:  Apr 9, 2001
The Bottom Line: Unless you can't live without color you'd be better off with a TRGPro or a Sony CLIE.
Review: One of the biggest problems with the Palm IIIc and the Handspring Prism is screen pixelation, otherwise known as the black grid. About half of the people who own these units don't even notice the black grid on the screen, and another 30 percent or...

Carry your life in the Palm of your hand, with the m505

Date of Review:  Jun 20, 2001
The Bottom Line: Great mid-range handheld device. If you're looking for low end, buy an earlier Palm, and if you're looking for high end, go with a Compaq H3670.
Review: The m505 is one of the latest in Palm's long line of hand-held devices. While in most obvious ways it seems a far cry from, say, my Palm III, it retains a familiar design and feel -- partly due to its continued use of Palm OS (Version 4.0 to be...

State of the Art

Date of Review:  Apr 8, 2001
The Bottom Line: State of the art. The only "fault" I can really find is the brightness of the screen and I suspect that was a tradeoff for longer battery life.
Review: Through retail sources I?ve had the opportunity to use the new Palm m500 and m505 the past couple of weeks in advance of general distribution. The m505 is scheduled for retail sale starting in May while the Palm m500 is on a slightly earlier...

They're almost there

Date of Review:  May 22, 2001
The Bottom Line: Good new addition to the Palm product line, but the screen and e-mail functionality fell below expectations.
Review: I was really excited to hear that Palm was about to release their latest and greatest addition to the Palm PDA product line. When I caught the first glimpse, I was happy to see that they have heard the response from consumers: that the Palm V had...

Too much power for the palm of your hand!

Date of Review:  Jul 23, 2001
The Bottom Line: This brand new product from the company that brought Palm Pilots I-V is sure to knock your socks off, and no function was forgotten when creating this masterpiece!
Review: The Palm M505 handheld with rich 65,000 color support is customizable thanks to two expansion features. The standard secure Digital/MultiMediaCard slot and the Palm Universal Connector let you add storage, applications, content, and add-ons, like a...

Faded color against competition (updated... final consumer unit, memory expansion details, and screen hack)

Date of Review:  Apr 18, 2001
The Bottom Line: Biggest draw is color screen which is somewhat disappointing. Priced for high-end users. If color unimportant, m500 is slightly better deal than the m505. Read on for other palm options.
Review: Only recently I put up a review on the Palm m500. I found out just a few days ago that a friend was going to have a m505 to review for a few days. I now had the chance to look at the m505 before I received the one I preordered at Amazon.com for $350...

The Palm m505: Thin and in Color!

Date of Review:  May 14, 2001
The Bottom Line: The Palm m505 with all of its features is a must have for any Palm enthusiast.
Review: Since Palm's last evolutionary offering in the world of PDAs, the Palm VII, people have been left wondering where the company would go next. With increasing competition from Handspring and Sony, Palm has finally answered back with their m500 PDAs...

Palm M505--Color My World, This Thing is Great

Date of Review:  Aug 28, 2001
The Bottom Line: The best PDA in the color 'space' today, for reasons I specify in this review.
Review: My days using a Handspring Visor Deluxe are coming to an end, thanks to my testing of this precious PDA.

I've got to say up front that this PDA is about as good as it gets in the Palm OS flavors. And although I do have some minor concerns...

What A Palm Lover Needs: M505

Date of Review:  Jul 4, 2001
The Bottom Line: The M505 isn't revolutionary. If you're looking for Nirvana in a PDA case, look elsewhere. If you're brand loyal and have $449 to spend, the M505 will tickle you pink.
Review: ***WARNING: I AM A HAPPY PALM USER (read: Biased), and this is a long opinion. If you're looking for an opinion that trashes Palm, please look elsewhere.***

Not in living color

Date of Review:  May 23, 2001
The Bottom Line: One of the most portable but least viewable color PDAs around. If you ask me (and obviously you are) it's not worth it.
Review: After too long an absence Girlina is back to give her own sassy n? stylin? views on the latest in gee-whiz gadgetry. Warning: If you are one of those engineering types seeking an exhaustive review on every one of the fine points of the OS please...
