Pros: 12X Leica zoom, manual controls, large LCD screen, live Histogram, Hot shoe
Cons: Minor chromatic aberration, EVF difficult to use in low light, underpowered
The Bottom Line: This one has it all -- 12X image stabilized wide angle to ultra-telephoto Leica zoom, 5 megapixels, and SLR like ergonomics but is it enough?
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The DMC-FZ20 is the replacement for Pansonics popular FZ10. The design folks at Panasonic stuffed all the FZ10 s best features into a new more streamlined body with a bigger handgrip and a significantly larger LCD screen, punched the resolution up...

Pros: See above
Cons: See above
The Bottom Line: It's versatile and easy to use, but it allows the user to get as detailed as they want to be. A great buy for both the beginner and expert shooter.

Review: After my Canon Rebel died (after 14 years) I was searching for a camera that was capable of producing quality shots for less than $1000 complete. It took me a year to resolve the digital vs. film debate but after reviewing numerous articles and...

Pros: Super stabilized zoom. Powerful and flexible shooting options. Hot shoe.
Cons: Electronic viewfinder doesn't work well in low light. Proprietary battery's a little weak and pricey.
The Bottom Line: They can't keep these cameras in stock, with good reason.

Review: After reading about the FZ10 I was almost about to buy one this summer when Panasonic announced the FZ20. I waited until October and got the FZ20 and am glad I waited. This camera is very versatile, easy to use, and takes great pictures. There are...

Pros: Mega zoom and MEGA Image Stabilization, very fast shot-to-shot speed, image quality
Cons: AF Illumination can be blocked by hands, some may not like proprietary batteries

Pros: Great 12X Lens, Great Optical Image Stabilizer, Good Ergonomics
Cons: Goofy Lens Hood, Low Res Movies, Non Tilting LCD, No RAW Format
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this camera but be sure to purchase an extra battery and at least a 512-megabyte memory card to get maximum pleasure.

Pros: Super zoom lens, image stabilization, nice balance, 5 meg, good optics
Cons: focus illumination on wrong side, proprietary batteries, lack of top mounted LCD info panel
The Bottom Line: One camera that can do it all with one lens, wide angle to ultra-zoom. You can't go wrong with this camera for the money.

Pros: Solid feel, intuitive easy to use controls, fast shot to shot time.
Cons: I would have liked AAA's for batteries and a larger rubber eye cup.
The Bottom Line: Its the best stabilized long zoom out there. Lots of user control yet very easy to operate. Looks and feels like a 35mm. Develops user confidence with superb image quality.

Pros: Excellent value, many features, easy to use, quality lens and body.
Cons: Supplied SD card too small to be useful at only 16Mb (7 images), proprietary battery.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for anyone wanting more than point and shoot "happy-snaps". Easy to use in auto mode, flexible enough for any enthusiast. Even a pro might be impressed.
