Review: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 is a 6-Megapixel update to the 5-Megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ3. It has a larger 2.5-inch LCD screen, movie mode with sound and the same powerful 6x optical stabilized zoom.

A good quality camera for the money that doesn't require a rocket scientist to operate.

Date of Review:  Apr 2, 2006
The Bottom Line: A slightly pricey but well built camera with excellent movie recording abilities. Just buy a good SD card, camera case and have a ball. Definitely consider this one when buying.
Review: Review:
This is the second digital camera I've bought in the last couple days, the last one I had was a disastrous waste of my time so I expected the worst when I bought this one - I was proven wrong and my faith in the digital world...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 = Great buy!

Date of Review:  Sep 9, 2008
The Bottom Line: Not just a point-and-shoot camera. Has plenty of settings to get the perfect picture, image stabilizer, and 6x optical zoom. Long battery life!
Review: For 150 bucks, it doesn't get better than this. It has 6x optical zoom, up to 24x digital, and 6 megapixel CCD with a great image stabilizer. You can set the aspect ratio to 4x3, 3x2, or 16x9 for good landscapes photos. Supports ISO 80 - 400...

Since when are 'AA' cells good?

Date of Review:  Dec 26, 2006
The Bottom Line: Look elsewhere. Choose a camera that supports rechargeable lithium batteries.
Review: I received this camera for free as part of a credit card offer, so I hopefully approached it without bias. (I did, however, read a few reviews before I started using it).

I'll start with what I like about the camera. The 6x optical zoom is...

My first digital camera

Date of Review:  Apr 26, 2008
The Bottom Line: If you are a professional, look at a higher pixeled camera. For everyday use, this camera performs well for the price.
Review: After a lot of research, I made the decision to purchase the Lumix DMC-LZ5 camera. My favorite thing about this camera is that it has 6x optical zoom. The other cameras that I looked at in this price range couldn't top that and considering digital...

Easy operation, lags but good pics!!

Date of Review:  Nov 10, 2008
The Bottom Line:

ALthough it takes great pictures, I would not recommend this camera because of the shutter lag.

Review: I purchased this camera to replace an ailing Sony that I loved. The features that attracted me were the AA batteries, 6x OPTICAL zoom, large display, and the Panasonic name. First let me tell you about that:
