I bought this camera after years of using average $25 35mm cameras. I didn't take many pictures, just special occasions and holidays, so I couldn't imagine investing in a "good" camera. Then I discovered scrapbooking as a hobby and I knew I had to get a "real" camera. I knew what I wanted in terms of features -- red-eye reduction, zoom lens, auto-focus, date/time stamp, timer, etc. -- and a fellow scrapbooker had recommended the Pentax brand, so I headed out to Best Buy on a mission.
It wasn't hard to find what I was looking for -- this particular model came with a battery and carrying case AND was on sale that week too -- so I bought it and was on my way. The film was easy to load, the features easy to manage, and it was a great size to carry. I started snapping pictures and couldn't wait to get them back to see the REAL results of my purchase.
I was not disappointed! The focus was perfect, the colors clear and crisp, the zoomed pics looked great, and the date/time stamp was located unobtrusively in the lower right corner of each photo. I'd gotten exactly what I wanted at a good price -- I couldn't be happier with this item!
