The greatest Pencil ever!

It's kind of hard to get excited about a pencil. But if you're going to expend the energy, this is the one to get the most excited about.

Background
I started using mechanical pencils in college... when neatness really counted. All of my professors required us to use pens in our blue book exams, but always the rebel, I refused and used my mechanical pencil. I found that when my bluebook was neat and without lots of scribbling and scratching out, my professors got over the fact that I broke their rules. I think I got better grades because my essays were easier to read.

So I've tried a few different kinds of pencils and always found this one to be the best.

Usability

There is so much about this pencil that makes it better than all of the others.

First, it has a padded and ergonomically formed grip. This makes it easy and comfortable to hold. Because the grip widens a bit in the center and is made to fit the way people hold their writing utensil, it keeps writing fatigue to a minimum.

The lead is advanced by "clicking" a button on the side of the pencil rather than by pushing on the eraser end. This makes is possible to advance the lead without having to stop writing. It also deals with the problem of having the lead accidentally advance when you try to erase something.

The tip is reinforced with metal. It helps to stop the lead from breaking as much as it can with other pencils.

The translucent body of the pencil makes it possible to see how much lead is still left inside. So you don't unexpectedly run out of lead.

miscellaneous

This pencil comes in a plethora of colors, both translucent and solid. I always choose the brighter translucent colors because I like to be able to see the lead inside, and the darker colors get lost in my bag more easily. I tend to find my favorite writing utensils and keep them for a long time. Having a brighter color helps me keep track of it and makes it harder for someone to pick it up and walk off with it without me knowing that the pencil they have in their hand is mine.
