Oh Lucky Day at the Sam's Club Clearance Aisle

Walking through the back of the local Sam's Club, I couldn't believe my eyes. There sat a 52" Philips 52PFL7422d/37 LCD TV for $500. I wheeled it up front plugged it into their system and everything worked perfectly. Philips 800# customer service even said it came with the full 12 month warranty. How could I not walk out with it? This is my first flat panel TV and I am elated with the quality of the product. I spent several hours playing with all the features and settings and updated the firmware via the USB connection. The setup was nearly automatic as it asked my preferences to split screen choices and then configured the settings to my liking. The color and sound are incredible. The HD cable channels are unbelievably crisp and easy on the eyes regardless of the lighting in the room (bright daylight to complete darkness). My dog even growls at, and chases, the lifesize animals on the screen. The remote is a a bit of a disappointment. Most features have to be navigated almost entirely instead of having direct access buttons. For example, something as simple the channel display forces you to see half a screen of information about the signal. Can't it just tell me it's ABC on channel 6? The automatic clock feature is off by one time zone even with the daylight savings feature enabled. Big deal; I'll pretend I live in Nova Scotia. I'd buy another in a heartbeat even if it was double the price.
