Ever hear the expression "You Get What You Pay For?"

Date of Review:  Mar 4, 2006
The Bottom Line: Not worth the money. Only OK sound, doesn't fold up for storage, cord not long enough, doesn't cancel that much noise.
Review: Someone recently reviewed a $300 pair of Bose Quiet Comfort headphones. Lucky them! I wish I had the money to buy them.

Quite a few months ago I brought my portable DVD player on a plane trip, but had a heck of a time hearing the DVD audio...

Shold've spent a few $$ more for a comfortable set of headphones

Date of Review:  Nov 25, 2008
The Bottom Line: Headphones are too uncomfortable for extended use. That coupled with durability issues will have me purchasing a different set of headphones next time.
Review: My wife bought me a pair of the Philips SBC HN050 headphones for my birthday a few years ago. I had been making do with earbud headphones or the $3 headphones that the airlines sell, but wanted to upgrade to noise cancelling headphones after trying...

Try another brand

Date of Review:  Nov 2, 2005
The Bottom Line: There's got to be better products out there that take into consider ease of use, which Philips does not.
Review: I bought this product because I wanted a noise cancellation headphones for the office with my new iPod, and I was also attracted to the airplane plug. Yet I should have spent $4 extra for the Sony and saved myself a lot of headaches. The headphone...

Best behind the head NC headphones I've owned

Date of Review:  Nov 3, 2006
Review: I've used these headphones on planes and @ my desk with my MP3 player; the noise canceling is excellent in either environment. On a plane the headphones do a fine job @ canceling any constant frequency of noise such as jet engine whine or the...

Effective and worth the money

Date of Review:  Jul 31, 2005
The Bottom Line: There are plenty of noise cancellation headphones available. These really warrant a chance. They sound good and are comfortable. The fact that they're cheap is a bonus.
Review: I bought these because I will be taking a plane trip in a few weeks. I have an iPod and know that I'll be spending some time on a plane. I plugged them in and found them to be just fine. I was a little concerned that they had to have a battery to...

Disappointed...

Date of Review:  Apr 2, 2006
Review: If you're looking for a new pair of COMFORTABLE headphones, don't get these! The cord is too short, the soundbox is kind of annoying. Also: they are terribly uncomfortable. I have a medium sized head, I would say, and they hurt! After wearing them...

Worth $10

Date of Review:  Dec 6, 2006
Review: I wear these at work and they are very comfortable. The on-ear design does a good job of reducing noise. The active noise canceling doesn t add any more cancellation so I don t use it. I only paid $10, so it is worth what I paid.

Date of Review:  Nov 29, 2005
Review: Bought at Best Buy and they are going back ASAP. $49 for regular old crappy headphones? I tested them at home for about an hour with different background noises - noise canceling made absolutely no difference.....don't waste your time or $$ on these...
