The Bottom Line: I recommend using this product although search others before hand to make sure you are getting the quality your looking for.
The Reason I Bought This Product
I am a huge Philosophy fan. I have been for a long time. Going to Nordstrom's with my mom while she got there products gathered my interest. I started off with a body lotion called Amazing Grace that's what kicked off more interest. There product to me has great quality and have always liked it. Well I was looking for a moisturizer and such and tried it and because it was such a great hit. I decided well if this water based product is great for my face without breaking out the skin then I can try Philosophy's The Present Foundation Clear Makeup i.e. Makeup Primer I figured since Philosophy has always been great for my skin that this would too.
My Experience
My experience with Philosophy's Foundation Clear Makeup had not been the greatest at first but with a little more knowledge improved quite a bit. Although the scent is pleasurable and the way it goes on is smooth. To me I feel it just doesn't dry very fast. Even with a little bit you feel as if you have put the whole tube on and expected it to just suck up into your skin. It feels like a mask that never dries. Although at some point as it will dry after taking a few laps around the house it has a smooth velvety feeling but I feel like it matte's your foundation after application leaving it looking really thick and noticeable. Foundation is meant to blend well when using with "Philosophy's makeup primer" it just doesn't mesh well.
The lesson learned
I really do have a considerate amount of faith with philosophy's products and have been using them for a very long time. Sometimes you get a product that you feel is better than another but, with patients this product will work for you. You only need to use about a pea size amount and give 2 minutes to dry. After allowing this product to dry then touching your face to assure that it is so then apply your foundation and follow with the rest of your makeup application and then notice the subtle changes that you would never get from wearing makeup all alone by itself.
It's just a matter of knowing that "creams have to dry" it is kind of a creamy base and a little dab will go a long way. It transforms and fills out any deep creases or fine lines so that your face appears smooth. This product can be worn alone by itself just as a filler and a smoother it does not have to be worn just underneath your makeup.
