Playtex Drop In Liners: Convenient & Ease Gas

When my youngest daughter Addison was a few weeks old she developed colic. I was breastfeeding, pumping and supplementing with formula at the time. The Basics

The Playtex Drop In Liners are specifically designed for the Playtex Nurser System. These bottles are hollow on the inside to allow for the liners to be dropped in. As the name suggests, these liners are completely disposable. Just use and toss! Each liner is pre-sterlized so you get a completely sanitary and clean feeding each time.

Each liner is made out of a soft, flexible plastic that expands to fit the amount of liquid you are putting in it. In fact they can now hold up to 10 ounces of liquid! Just as they expand when you fill them, they collapse as baby feeds. Since the liners collapse, they reduce the amount of air baby is actually ingesting. This of course cuts down on gas and colic symptoms, easing baby's delicate tummy. Playtex even claims that their liners are clinically proven to reduce colic!

The liners are pre-formed so they fit easily into the Playtex Nurser. There's no need to fit the edges around the bottle top or to squeeze them into place. These fit perfectly each time. Playtex has a 100% guarantee against their Drop Ins leaking.

Playtex makes their Drop Ins even more convenient by their packaging. The Drop Ins box has two slots on the bottom that you simply pull open and use to dispense the liners.

You must of course use caution when using the Drop Ins. Don't boil or heat the liner in anyway as this can cause injury. To warm the liquid inside of the liner simply place under hot tap water or in a cup or pan of warm water.

Our Experience

The convenience factor and the promises of reduced colic symptoms is what sold me on the Playtex Nurser System & Drop In Liners. I had high hopes that they would help us ease Addison's tummy issues. We had used the Playtex system for a while with our oldest daughter, but, the system had come a long way since then! Even the liners seemed better quality.

We have had great success with these liners and the entire Playtex system from the very first day. As promised, as Addison would nurse from the bottle the liner would actually collapse, cutting down on the amount of air she was ingesting. It reduced the amount so well that we had difficulty getting a burp out of her at all! We combined our new Playtex symptom with a new formula and received amazing results. Over the course of a couple of weeks we noticed that her colic symptoms had improved a great deal and we were getting our sweet little baby back. It didn't take much longer for the symptoms to disappear altogether. It was such a relief to not have a gassy, miserable, colicky baby!
