Can't ride without it

Well let me start out by saying that I absolutely love this thing. I have been an Avid road cyclist for about 2 years now and I had never thought of using an HRM until 2 months ago when I got the F6. The reason why I decided to get an HRM was because I was riding about 4K miles per year but I felt like I was not getting into the physical shape that I thought I should be in. Also, I didn't look like a person that rides 4K miles per year. I can be really stubborn at times and I had convinced myself that there was nothing wrong with my riding technique.

Boy was I wrong. After buying the F6 and and setting it up I took out for one of my usual rides, a route that I had ridden 100's of times before. Just minutes into my ride I noticed that my heart rate was not high enough at times and way too high at others. Thanks to the low and high limit alarms I realized that my pedaling cadence was nowhere near consistent. My first ride with the F6 was so good that my legs were actually soar the very next day! And like I mentioned before this was one of usual rides that I had done 100's of times before.

This HRM has totally changed my riding style. In 2 months time I have improved my riding drastically. The reason why is that the low and high level alarms force me to maintain a certain level of excercise and this helps build muscle tone and helps increase endurance and stamina and also helps me burn lots of calories. After a while it sort of turns into a game for me. If I pedal too lightly the alarm beeps and if I pedal too hard the alarm also beeps.

The great thing about the F6 is that it is so easy to use. The instructions are easy to follow and setup only take a few minutes. The unit is designed in a way that makes the menus easy to navigate. I like being able to choose the intensity of my rides. I can choose from 3 ( easy, moderate and difficult) I also like the fact that I can keep track of the calories that I have burnt and the length of my rides.

In the 2 months that I have owned my F6 I have drastically improved my riding ability, and my rides have become more effective. So far I have gone down about 1 1/2 pant sizes and my legs have more of a toned look. I've also lost those stubborn love handles. In general, I just feel so much healthier.

The F6 is not only for cyclists. It can also be used by joggers, walkers and hikers. The chest strap is coded so therefore I can ride with other F6 users without any interference problems. I recently purchased the bike mount so I no longer have to wear the unit on my wrist, which makes for a safer ride.
