Aim and shoot... Great instant camera
Date of Review: Sep 5, 2000
Should I buy an instant camera or one that I have to send my film away? This was a question that was bugging me for a long time. Then I just sat and thought about what I really wanted. I figured if I buy an instant camera, then I get the benefit of seeing all the pictures at that moment. No waiting for a few days to get them back at my local super market store. Also with a instant camera I would be able to scan the picture right away and send them to friends and family over the Internet by email, no waiting for this either. So right there was two pro's for wanting an instant camera. Now for the Con's. I sat and thought ok if I buy an instant camera I wont get as many pictures, and film does cost more for the instant then they do for the 35mm cameras. But then I thought ok, let me do the math. I pay $12.00 for 10 photos that I get right in a min no waiting and no mailing them out to get developed. If I used a 35mm I would have to first buy the film and it usually ran around $4.00 for 24 photos, sure this isn't bad if that is all you had to do was buy the film, but don't forget you have to get it developed. At my local Wall-Mart store it would cost me $8.00 to get the film developed in one hour. So that is a total of $12.00 and I would get 14 extra photos for this price, yes but I'm the type of person who never takes my film to get developed and they just lay around the house and I forget. So with this instant camera I have no worries to weather or not I will get the film developed now or next year!
Here are some of the features this camera has to offer.
Built in flash, this is great, but bugs my eyes when it is used have those spots in front of my eyes for minutes later. It has auto focus this is great option as well cause it allows itself to focus in on the subject of the picture. It has a "red out" that means helps reduce the red in people's eyes. It takes Polaroid One Step 600 film. This comes with 10 photos. Sometimes you can get a good buy though and get a second film for like $4.00 more. One push button to take the picture, no advancing to the next photo to be ready like some other cameras you have to do. A little green light will appear when the camera is ready for use. It has a carry strap so it is easy to take with you when you go places. A viewfinder on it to allow you to see how many pictures you have taken and have left. It's easy to insert the film and take the film out when it's used. Maintenance is a breeze just take a wash clothe over it once in awhile to get the dust off it, and that is it. I just feel for an instant camera, this is one of the best out there. As for the quality of the film it is outstanding all my picots have turned out clear and not fuzzy and high gloss paper is used.
