Makes Popular conversations

Date of Review: Oct 28, 2000

This isn't one of those magazines that you open up and just thumb through for interesting articles. There is no skimming through this magazine. 90% of Popular Science has interesting articles. From new things coming out to updates on old news, this magazine has it all. They not only talk about what is going on here in the U.S., but all over the world as well. I was reading an issue one time at the dentist's office and the receptionist called my name. I was reading a very interesting article and didn't want to leave without finishing it. I made belive I didn't hear her. Went in after I finished 2 minutes later. True story.
For me, it helps me hold intelligent conversations, because I read and learn about an eclectic range of topics. Popular Science talks about medicine, space, environment, computers and many other topics. I always like to have a few issues laying around the office for those long lunch hours. It always helps spark up conversations at work. By the way...did you know they have inserted spider genes into goats mammory glands to produce large amounts of spider silk (one of the strongest material known to man)? Well I do. That's right...Popular Science!
