Great Crochet Magazine!!
Date of Review: Dec 20, 1999
Want to bring a smile to your grandma's face? Get her a subscription to this nifty little magazine. Well I guess maybe you should find out if she crochets first I bet she does I know mine does. Crochet gets passed down through the Y chromosome so if there are a lot of woman in your family one of them is bound to love this magazine. There are instructions in every issue that teaches you to crochet if you don't already know how. This neat little magazine makes a superb Christmas present!!
I first found out about this magazine through my mother. I was flipping through the summer issue and spotted a CROCHET BIKINI!! Well I knew that minute I had to make it never mind that it was recommended for advanced crocheters and I'd yet to learn a stitch. I wanted a crochet bikini for the beaches of Miami Beach. So days before I'm to leave mom & I sit down & start crocheting. It turned out quite well considering it was my first crochet project ever. I did eventually rip it all out with the intention of making a better one--that's yet to happen but I still have the nifty little magazine & the memories.
These neat little magazines are full of wonderful projects ranging from easy to advanced. Take a look on eBay & see what people are willing to pay. I myself bought the exact magazine that my crochet bikini was in because mine was waterlogged. Uh it was waterlogged when I started out. There are also little booster projects in the middle of each issue that you can buy & sell at a profit. All in all I say this magazine is a keeper. It's great to pass down to friends and family.
