Be ready to return it within 30 days

I bought the RP5640 on January 8, 2007 at Best Buy. Got it home and the buttons that set the alarm time would not work. Returned it and exchanged for the same model. This one worked until the 29th day! Then pressing the down volume button turned the radio off! On the 30th day it would go off by itself after playing for 2 or 3 minutes. Now it goes on after touching the "on" button 4 or 5 times.

When I was shopping I could not find any sales clerk in 3 stores, (Best Buy, Circuit City and another I can't remember) who could tell me how to set the alarm time-- "wake time". The controls are not intuitive. I had to keep the instructions on my bedside stand so I could read how to change the wake time when necessary.

I like electronic tuning, but when I roll out of bed and stand up the FM signal is blocked, by my body I guess, so I have to sit on the bed or walk around the bed to hear the radio.

I'm taking this one back. Don't know what I'll do for an alarm clock now.
