Author's Review
This receiver is perfect for listening to your old records, cassettes, and radio broadcasts in areas of good reception.
Power output is good, with fairly low noise and distortion. The phono preamp is a plus, as is the full featured remote. Connectivity is adequate, as is radio reception. Handsome piece of equipment. Engineering shows signs of cutting corners. The heat sink for the power amplifier section is mounted inside the case instead of forming the side or back panel, making it necessary to perforate the entire top of the case for ventilation. This means the unit has to be placed indoors, on an open shelf, well away from windows. It cannot be mounted in an audio or home theater cabinet, or it will overheat. Also, dust will build up quickly on the circuit boards, so blow it out gently once in a while. And put down your drink before standing near this receiver! No AC outlets provided on back panel to plug in your turntable. Overall, a good, basic piece of audio equipment with some drawbacks you should consider before purchasing.
