Author's Review
I'm very grateful for artists like Mariah Carey. WHY? Because her music, her songs and her lyrics inspire me and help me get through tough times. I was introduced to Mariah Carey's beautiful music during 1997 and I think her music was God-sent to me. Well 1997 was, for me, the year of depression. I lost my grandpa, my dog and my self-esteem. My parents left for Hong Kong and my siblings were always out. So I was just alone. All alone. And then one night, I popped in Mariah's cd Butterfly. She had the nicest songs and the most beautiful lyrics. I sort of found myself through her songs. Then when Rainbow was released, that's when I was able to finally steer my own life, find independence and release all the aches I had been keeping in me for years. I bought her CD because I knew it would be much better than Butterfly. I knew that her cd would inspire me and bring me a bit of hope. And I was right. I was deeply moved and very much inspired by Can't Take That Away From Me- her theme song which she dedicated to those people who have been critisized all their life, who have been treated without equality. I am glad that songs like that exist. It helps me get through tough times. And I know that Mariah has helped many other people as well.
Well, if you're deciding whether to buy this cd or not, please do. If you're a fan of R & B and Mariah Carey, buy this cd. It's worth spending your money on. There are no cons to this cd. I know that you will enjoy it as much as I did.
