Environmentally friendly, design flaw

The Steamboy is not a vacuum it is a steam cleaner. It heats up fast (20 sec) and shoots steam nicely. It cleans floors well and leaves no slippery residue. It is great on hardwood floors, and the steamer with the triangle thing works good on carpets. It is easily refillable although drips a bit when inserting.

Now the bad stuff: the head is shaped with rounded corners so it cannot get into the corners to clean. If you don't clean it otherwise, dirt will build up quickly (yuck!). The cover needs to be washed after every use - otherwise, it will smell like chicken soup when you use it again. You need to hold down the trigger the whole time for it to work, but maybe that is a safety thing so I can live with that. The pad is non abrasive so you have to over some spots over and over and eventually, you may have to clean it by hand. The cover can slip easily off the head, especially when wet and hot so be very careful. The cord is a bit short for my use. If you don't unplug it, the light stays on as there is no on/off switch. If you have wax or mop and glow on your floors, it will strip it. It will not strip the hardwood though so no worries. It will leave hardwood shiny, but tile will be dull albeit clean. It pushes dirt around because it cannot pick up, so you need to be sure the floors are really dirt free before washing with it.

To sum up, I would've liked a better scent and I don't like that the floors are stripped, but they are very clean and this is easy to use and so environmentally friendly.
