Author's Review
Let me preface this epinion with the fact that I've been using the same Remington MicroScreen shaver I bought in college 12 years ago, so when it finally conked out, I was devastated. As an earlier opinion from a woman stated, a man and his shaver have a close relationship. It's a guy thing, I suppose.
The first thing I noticed about the Remington MicroScreen 2 was the incredibly close shave. Had I known that the new models gave a better shave, I might have switched earlier!
These shavers come in 3 varieties - 1,2, and 3 screens. I chose the 2 screen model because there is plenty of screen surface touching the skin, but it is not too bulky, as to hinder shaving successfully around facial curves (ie. chin, cheekbones, etc.)
An added feature is that this model is cordless, and it seems to last about 3 weeks without a new charge. This wasn't a big deal until I was running late to an appointment, so I shaved in the car.
The only disappointment on this shaver is the moustache/sideburn trimmer. It simply doesn't work very well. It is packaged nicely in the side of the shaver, accessible with the push of a button, but the older models that left a full 2" trimmer out in the open worked much better.
The Remington MicroScreen comes with a protective cover for the screen, a cutter cleaning brush, coiled charging cord, and a nice vinyl pouch to keep it all in.
At $49.99, a great deal - especially if this one lasts 12 years too!
