Review: I've had the Rival Stainless Steel Crock Pot since December 2004 when I received it as a gift. I've used it probably thirty times to make beef stew, pot roast, skirt steak and a few other recipes.

Review: Received as a gift in December 2004. Used only 5-6 times. Today the stoneware crock cracked because it apparently got too hot. It was only a hairline crack and I didn't even know it until liquid was leaking out onto my counter!

Pros: Looks nice on the counter. HUGE capacity for making big stews, etc.

Cons: Extremely hot to the touch on outside.

Review: This crock works perfectly fine, but it gets dangerously hot on the outside. I use mine only on top of the stove and have to double-check that is wire isn't touching the outside.
