Great "starter" crock pot
Pros:
Attractive appearance, makes great stews, cooks food faster than other crockpots
Cons:
Might cook too fast for some folks, lid can sputter when cooking high-moisture dishes
The Bottom Line:
It's a good buy for the money, easy to use, and a great introduction to slow-cookers.

Author's Review
This is a great crockpot for beginners. It has a larger capacity than you'd expect...the oval design allows for large cuts of meat and roasting chickens to fit easily.
As another reviewer mentions, foods do tend to cook faster in this crockpot than the recipes state they will. Also, depending upon what you cook, condensation can form on the inside of the lid, drip down to the rim of the pot, and sputter water out onto the counter as cooking time wears on. A minor nuisance, but I thought I'd mention it.
The stoneware insert is very attractive, but I find you must still spray the inside with Pam for best results.
Nevertheless, this is an inexpensive way to delve into the increasingly popular world of crockpot cooking. There is something so comforting about having dinner waiting for you when you get home, or even if you're at home all day, just being able to smell the delicious food cooking while you go about your daily routine. The stainless steel construction also makes this appliance attractive enough to leave it out in plain sight on your kitchen counter.
I use this crockpot at least 3 times a week. It's a godsend!
