Product Review

Not Satisfied

by   simplysusaniam ,   Nov 26, 2007

Pros:  The only good thing I can say is that it looks nice on my counter.

Cons:  The program features are not helpful. The low setting gets too hot.

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

Author's Review

I used an old Rival Crock Pot for many years, so I assumed today's quality of product would be equal. I am highly disappointed with this model. This slow cooker gets too hot on low and even on warm continues to cook at a high temperature. I cooked minestrone in it according to the recipe, 8 hours on low. The lid rattled all night and my counter was covered in water the next morning. The soup was almost burned and still bubbling on the warm setting. You can only "program" to warm after the 8 or 10 hour cycle is completed. This model would not be suitable for roasts, which is what I cooked most often in the old type Crock Pot.
