2006 Saab 9-3 is the best all-around car at an affordable price!

My husband and I have owned the 2006 Saab 9-3 for eight months and have put 15,000 miles on it so far. He is a Marine Corps pilot and we have made two very long distance moves with this vehicle. We had researched vehicles for approximately one year before we narrowed our decision down to the BMW 3-series, Volvo S-40 T5, and the Saab 9-3. The Volvo by far was the most sluggish (even in the higher-powered T5 model), but had excellent safety ratings. That left the BMW and the Saab. To be honest the BMW 325 did not impress me with power, however the BMW 330 did have a noticeable difference in power with a hefty price difference as well. And the BMW safety ratings were no where near the Saab's. Actually, the Saab 9-3 was even rated a bit higher in safety than the Volvo S-40. And Saab 9-3 was lower in price then both of them. We saved over $4000.00 by using Saab's active-duty military discount. BMW does not offer an active-duty discount. So all you active-duty military/military wives be sure to present your military ID!!! The dealers won't usually inform you about it so be sure to let them know you are aware of the program. And don't let them give you a line that they don't have it at that particular dealership because it's a lie - Saab does it at EVERY location! Be sure to do your homework! This car is fun to drive, very reliable, has the highest safety ratings and gives you a luxury-type car at an affordable rate!
