OK for kids or beginners, but pretty cheap!
Pros:
OK for a 2nd camera or for a learning teen, but not a main camera.
Cons:
Image quality, weak flash, many very good cameras for a little more money.
The Bottom Line:
Spend a bit more and get a better camera (Sony, etc.) Only buy at the lower end of the price range.

The Sakar 72480 digital camera is probably the top of the line of Sakar products - but that's not saying much. This camera, in spite of it's 7.1 mega pixels is suited for the teen or pre-teen who is responsible enough to take care of a camera, but you don't want to spend a lot on.
The lens is not the greatest when compared to other general purpose cameras. The construction is not impressive with a distinct plastic feel to it. Because the lens is not the best, your photos will be OK, but not great.
The controls are easy enough to learn and use. The manual is OK, but could be better.
The flash tends to be a bit too weak. If you shoot a flash picture over 6 to 8 feet, you will notice that it is brighter in the center and darker around the edges.
Battery life is not the greatest, either. It drains alkaline batteries quickly.
If you have a teen or pre-teen that just "has" to have a camera, you might want to consider this one, but at the lower end of it's price range (about $79.00) If you pay much more than that, you can get into a quality Sony or other camera for the same price.
This would also make a nice second camera for carrying in your car or in your briefcase or even keeping around the office, but I would not recommend it as your primary camera. There are just too many GOOD cameras for just a little more money.
