disappointing - blue spots

The Bottom Line:  Providing samsung can repair the defect ahead of time, this could be a nice tv. Until then, it really is a hit or miss.

The purchase of this TV has been one of the most disappointing experiences I've had in a very long time. Between the the technical defects I discovered for Amazon and Samsung on this model, going through numerous phone calls between Samsung techs, Amazon, and exchanging the TV for the exact model only to experience the same trouble again this has been a nightmare. To add insult to injury I also found out the replacement from Amazon (that I paid full for) was an open box item.

I advised Amazon to pull this item. I explained the problem with many blue spots appearing in dark backgrounds of programs occurred on two models and there could be a bad lot. I found out later on with Samsung there is a defective light engine in this model!

Still waiting over 3 days after asking for the second return process of the defective TV and with a broken TV, I checked Amazon.com to order a replacement now that Samsung is able to repair the issue now that they know what it is. The price went down by one hundred dollars. When I phoned Amazon asking for the price adjustment, I was told they couldn't because the item was unavailable despite the price cut.

What an insult! I helped them prevent future upset customers and save them money, instead they deny me a credit of one hundred dollars despite all of this trouble.
