Author's Review
1. Weight. Very light, about 1/2 weight of my Sony Bravia. Something like 60 lbs. Still requires two people to lift but its very easy.
2. Remote. The best remote I've touched so far. Very cool and ergonomic.
3. Touch of Color. Very nice feature and I love it. Separates this TV from all others. I love the bezel around it, its not too big like Sony XBR so it fits in most spaces.
4. Sound. Very good. Different modes available. My favorite is Movie mode, makes it really nice deep relaxing sound.
5. "Bleeding issue". If you are not picky you wont even care. My wife has never noticed it even though its in our bedroom and we watch a lot of time in the dark room (thats when you see "bleeding" light). If you are too picky then buy Samsung 650 series which doesnt have this issue. But I wanted 750 because its more advanced and I like tha "square" shape.
6. USB port. Awesome, great feature. Plug in your IPOD and you can listen to your favorite music right from your TV. Its a convenient feature if your TV is in the bedroom, just plug your MP3 or memory stick with music files and let it play all night. Also can play videos from any storage connected through USB. Easy to use, plug and play.
7. Internet connectivity. I cannot comment because I havent tried it so far. I have computer connected to this TV so when I need internet I just turn to PC input and surf internet through my computer. But supposedly you can plug this TV into your home router and get limited internet access.
8. Recipes, games. This TV has also built-in memory with kids games, cooking recipes with great pictures, your own on-screen set of exercises, few other cool things.
9. Inputs. Lots of those, I believe there are 4 HDMIs, very convenient side location for USB port and one HDMI.
10. Glossy screen. Believe it or not this one is an advantage. Picture appears more realistic, colorful, juicy. I am really glad Samsung came up with this idea, it really brings images to life. It might reflect some light but I've never had any problems. Plus it blends into the glossy bezel making it one whole piece rather than a TV screen inside a plastic frame.
11. Picture. I left this one for last because this is the best feature of this TV, picture is really outstanding, the best that I have seen so far on any TV exept maybe Pioneer which costs 2-3 times more.
11-1. HD quality. Great, sharp, very bright colors. Few modes awailable, Dynamic is the best, very bright. Standard is easier on the eyes. Movie mode is good to watch in a dark room especially with Movie sound mode - it creates this weird feeling that I havent experienced with other TV's, its like a play in a theater with voices coming all around you, pretty cool.
11-2. Non-HD quality. Also very good, doesnt appear so grany and pixelated on a big screen like other TVs. Its very smooth. I even play streaming video through my computer and its surprisingly good for 46 inch TV.
I ordered this Samsung online at Amazon at under 2000 dollars. Local BestBuy had it for 2700 for I figure with free delivery I've got a deal. Delivery was very long but I live in a small town, in any case prepare to wait if you order there.
