Cons:
Poor Samsung repairs and customer support credibility.
The Bottom Line:
I have to rate durability a "1" because my unit failed just after 1 month. However I know people with the same model that have had good luck.

If you buy one of these units and it gives you any problems get it back to the store while you can still return it or you will have to deal with the Samsung Repair Group. I have had very poor experiences with Samsung Repair.
I bought a Samsung DV-135 four (4) months ago and had a functioning unit only the initial 4 weeks plus a few days. The rest of the time it was either in the shop, waiting broken for shipping labels to return it, or waiting for a replacement unit. I purchased a DVD-135 on 3/8/07, its 7/13/07 and I still do not have a functioning DVD recorder.
The Story-
I purchased a DV135 on 3/8/07 and had occasional problems with system errors (blue screen message) that would lock the system up and require unplugging and resetting. I returned the unit (1st time) to Samsung a few days past the 30-day limit on return to the store. When I got the unit back it failed to read commercial DVD's after a couple hours. The DVD was returned (second time), upon the 2nd return it again failed to read DVD's. After returning for repair the third time the unit again failed within a couple of hours of receiving the 3rd repair. (Note all "repaired" units still had the scheduled record times that were on them when they left for repair). After the 3rd repair failure Samsung said they would replace the unit with a new and send the unit out on 6/13/07. On 6/27/07 I called since I had not received the new unit. They said it was not sent and it would be sent 6/29/07. On 7/9/07 I called Samsung again since no unit had arrived. They said they would send a new unit by the end of the week. I told them I wanted my money back or money put toward an upgraded unit and that I would not wait for or accept any more return units. It is 7/13/07 I called to see if they were returning my money of putting it toward an upgrade. They said that they had sent another unit (same model) 7/10/07 but could not give me a tracking number to prove it. They said they would not give me my money back or put the money toward another model.
My family has gone too long without a the dvd recorder I purchased in March and there is no reason to believe that one has actually been sent so I am going out and buying a new DVD Recorder?
