Rush It
San Francisco rush, one of the fastest racing games you'll probably find. Well at least when dealing with regular cars. Car speeds get up near 180, with the right car. Ramps, steep hills, and dangerous short cut tunnels abound in every level. So what happens when you mix speed with danger? San Francisco Rush is what happens. With all this, dangerously high flying stunts, and unique crashes are destined to ensue.
Car Select
With the car select you can choose from a number of racing cars, even a bus. After the car is picked, you can pick between automatic or stick. You can then change the color of your ride, and if you know the code, the size of the wheels. There's also a code to make your car a burning wreck(looks way cool). And if you can get all the keys in every level, then you can get extra cars to choose from. Each extra car is a special car, that's faster, and more reliable then most of the other cars.
Level Select
Here you can choose which course you want to destroy your best friend on, or the computer, if you so desire. This gives you 6 stages to choose from. Each track can be customized 3 ways, to make up to 18 tracks. Choose between frontwards, backwards, and mirror. Difficulty levels range from easy, to hard. Hint:The first track is the easiest to master.
Options:
Ahh, here's where things get really interesting. In the options, you can decide if there's fog in your level or not. You can also limit the number of computer racers there are in the game. Or decide how many laps you are going to run for the courses you pick. OOOOOOR, if you're like me, then you'll use a few game codes to make your gaming experience that much more fun, or hard. In the options menu, you can change every orange cone into a mine(if you hit it, you blow up). Change the weight of your car, so it's super heavy and won't fly off anything, or make it super light so it flies off everything. Make your track upside down(think driving the regular tracks were hard, try this little twist =P ). Make the fog that appears in your level black, and make the levels different colors. Yep, such are the advantages of codes.
What'd You Mean About Keys?
Well, in each level there are a certain amount of keys located in the most unlikely of places. These are to be collected by YOU the player. If you collect all keys in a level, then you are rewarded a car for that level. These keys can only be collected during racing mode, and not practice mode. Yet are well worth the effort, for whne you get them, you get cooler, better cars.
How Many Players Can Play?
Well, San Francisco Rush is a 4 player game. That means that up to 4 humans can play against the computer. The screen does get harder to see, the more players you have though. So make sure you have a good sized t.v. before you attempt to take on 3 of your friends in a high speed duel of unbridaled perportions.
Play Control
There are many complaints about the play control. It's hard to turn corners, and hard to just control the cars in general. This, however, is true to life. If you go slow on rush, then it's very easy to control your car. If you go fast, then it's harder to control your car. This is the same as real life, so I don't have a problem with it. I personally think that if everything was easy, then nothing would hold our interest. We play video games for a challenge, not because everyone can beat them. So quit complaining, and get to mastering!
