nice little package

I love this little gadget. Sure beats those big floppy drives and cd's in physical and memory size. I know I only have 512mb, but it comes in 1gb and 2gb right now.

The cruzer micro may not be fast enough for others, but it is more than fast enough for me. I transferred a little more than 15mb of files in 1 drag and drop and it was done in 3 seconds, 35mb was done in 8 seconds... averaging about 4.68mb/sec. That may fall short to the theoretical speed for USB 2.0. Browsing through the files is not that slow either.

The cruzer micro came with a free version of the CruzerLock software which encrypts the data you want protected. To access the data, you have to open CruzerLock and it asks for username and password which you would have set up when you first run the software. It is pretty easy to use, but then I haven't seen other password protection available for other flash drives. With the free version, you could only have one user :(.

The cruzer micro is so tiny and cute. Mine came with 3 plastic covers in blue, red, and white/clear. One end lights up when it's plugged in and flashes when in use. My only complaint was the lanyard clip. It didn't do what it was supposed to do. When I clip the cruzer micro, it easily comes off. I guess I will never get to use it.
