Pros: Funny, interesting characters, fast-moving, suspenseful, entertaining
Cons: A bit too ridiculous/over the top at times, drags a little towards the end
The Bottom Line: This is an entertaining book, which is fast-paced and has a pretty wild plot. Skinny Dip is a unique read that is a nice change from most books.

Review: My co-worker belongs to a book club, so I was lucky enough to score this book as a recommendation from her. She said it was a really fun book, and by the end of the day, having sat on my desk for a few hours, the book received several compliments...

Pros: the great themes: love, redemption, and the bad guys getting what they deserve
Cons: As usual, Carl's just a little bloodthirsty
The Bottom Line: The bottom line insists on wearing a swimsuit. What a wimp!

Review: Joey Perrone went for a swim unwillingly, "helped" over the rail of a mammoth cruise liner by Chaz, her husband of two years. The wannabe widower didn't count on Joey's swimming ability or a bale of abandoned pot she could press into service...

Pros: Fast-paced story of revenge and incompetence.
Cons: ..
The Bottom Line: Carl Hiaasen has the ability to make even the most serious crimes seem amusing. This is a very good humorous crime novel.

Review: One of the more satisfying discoveries for a dedicated crime and mystery reader like myself is the subgenre of humorous hardboiled crime. As paradoxical as it sounds, the combination of strong criminal themes and farce make for some very...

Pros: Wry, sometimes wacky, humor, characterizations, and witty dialogue
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: Hiaasen's 10th novel is a wonderful mix of caper-mystery and satirical comedy that engages the mind while making the reader laugh. Good stuff!
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Anger can often inspire some of the best humor material ever written, as any savvy reader of satire can probably attest to. A well-written piece of satire, while often very funny on a superficial level, can often bring readers attention to extremely...

Pros: Clever, comical, engrossing. One of the most humorous books I've read.
Cons: Can make your ribs hurt.
The Bottom Line: A definite must read for anyone looking for a light capricious read that will tickle the 'ole' funny bone.

Review: One minute Joey was talking to her husband on the deck of cruise liner, Sun Duchess and the next she's in the Atlantic Ocean, off Miami, wondering what the hell happened. It seems after apparently bending down to pick up their stateroom key, Joey's...

Pros: A funny, funny tale of revenge, greed and just plain bad luck.
Cons: NONE, I promise you!
The Bottom Line: A wonderful read! Characters that are so real you?ll look around to see if you?re not standing next to them knee deep in muck from the everglades.
