Pros:
The duel vent is supposed to be more energy efficient. Nice display
Cons:
Very bulky, exhaust hose connections are not the highest quality, didn't work!

Author's Review
I purchased this product from Fry's Electronics (Outpost.com on the internet). I picked it because it had the 12,000 BTU output and was normally priced at $549.00, but was on sale for $499.99 with a $50 rebate. Thinking that you get what you pay for, I opted for this one over the Supentown 12,000 BTU model that I was comparing. I liked the moving louvers that moved the air around and the display was very straightforward. That was at the store.
I got mine home, un-packaged it and prepared to use for an upcoming heat wave. I plugged it in and pushed the on button. Nothing. Tried a different wall plug-in, still nothing. Pushed the "on" button on the remote and it came to life. None of the buttons on the display would function. Thinking that there may be a lockout mode on the display, I read the instructions, but found nothing. Called Soleus, was told to leave a message, never heard back.
With the unit now operating, I could feel the cool air that it was blowing. For the first little while, it was fine. Then it shut off. The plug was extremely hot and so I unplugged the machine. I let the plug cool down and tried it again. Same result. I quickly realized that this was not a battle I wanted to fight and returned the unit to Fry's and got my money back. Standing in line was another person returning the same product. I decided not to compare stories, but obviously, it was not working for them either.
Buyer Beware!!
