Sony S2 Sports CD Walkman: Durable, Affordable, and Functional

The Bottom Line: Looking for the perfect company on your run or bike ride? Look no further than the Sony S2 Sports CD Walkman D-FS601.
Review: I was gifted my first portable CD player in early 1996 (along with the Foo Fighters self-titled debut). The featureless Sony Discman was fine enough, and up until about 1998 I used it with no issues of course then the cover broke off.

A Great CD Walkman for Runners

The Bottom Line: A great walkman for any workout activity, especially running. Excellent skip protection, great ergonomics. You will not be disappointed with the sound. Highly recommended.
Review: I bought this product to use for running in all weather conditions & for my morning commute on the train. I have had the product since 8/16/02.

The Bottom Line: The distortion when playing some CD's is unacceptable.
Review: The other reviews are correct on the Sony D-FS601 .... At first glance, the Sony D-FS601 portable CD player is that awesome Volvo 240-like durability that is a marquee of Sony "Sports" equipment. Awesome.

Solid CD player for the gym

The Bottom Line: If you are in the market for a CD player that you can take to the gym without it breaking, this would be an excellent choice.
Review: To start off, let me say that the picture epinions currently has up is the incorrect picture. For the D-FS601, for a look at what the real thing looks like, go to any of the stores that are listed in the compare prices.

The Bottom Line: Buy this one! It's the best deal for the best price and it's a perfect sports CD player. Just buy better headphones for at-home listening and voila!
