Pros: Good value, holds 400 discs, excellent performance, features and connectivity, MP3
Cons: Remote has little undistinguishable buttons

Pros: Sleek Design. Holds 400 Discs.
Cons: Finding and Organizing Music AWFUL.
The Bottom Line: Do not buy unless you have 8 hours of free time and are willing to keep a notebook by the machine.

Review: Lets say you were the first individual on the planet to invent a machine that would hold and play 400 DVD/CD's. Aside from quality sound and playback, what would be the most important feature for an electronic device that stores and plays 400...

Pros: Progressive Scan, 400 discs, multiple output formats, ability to lock DVD's from kids
Cons: Terrible user interface, no single DVD slot, mindless remote, size
The Bottom Line: I would not buy it. My advice (and what I will be doing) - Wait for a better model.

Review: I have been using a 300 disc Pioneer DV-F727 for the last 3 years. I love it! However, it is not progressive scan, and I am about to run out of space, so I was excited to see Sony come out with a 400 disc progressive scan model. My excitement...

Pros: Goes from one dvd to another quickly.
Cons: 22 inches deep. Bright blue light inside shines out and has no function.
The Bottom Line: Of the few multi-disc changers on the market this is top notch.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: My only regret is not getting it sooner! At the time of purchase (yesterday) I had about 160 DVD's that were watched an average of 1.1 times in their lives because it is a pain to stand there swapping out DVD's in the single DVD player.

Pros: It holds 400 discs and the advertised sound and picture attributes are truly impressive!
Cons: Inane disc filing/sorting system, limited text editing capabilities, cumbersome remote required access to use.
The Bottom Line: Based on its pricetag compared to the valued features you'd want a jukebox for, this frugal shopper says "Good things come to those that wait"...Patience and pass for now.

Review: I'll bypass all the wonders as described by the other exceptional spec reviews previously posted and cut right to the chase. All pure video and audio needs of the average Home Theater Enthusiast are more than met in this hefty little $400 unit...

Pros: Lots of space for discs plus MP3 playback. SACD implementation very good for midline player.
Cons: Lousy remote. Poorly implemented search function. Noisy. No scan!
The Bottom Line: If you need 400 1 discs, hard to beat for money. However, filing system is very poorly implemented and you might actually give up on computerized cataloging for paper lists.

Review: I purchased this unit earlier this summer and refrained from commenting on it with the hope that use would take the edge off my initial impressions. No such luck...

The Bottom Line: Worth a serious look. You could get better but for a chunk more change.

Pros: 400 disks local controls on player - not only remote
Cons: terrible user interface terrible remote uneven image quality - frequent blocking of picture slow
The Bottom Line: 400 disks sure, but at a terrible price in ease of access and quality of images
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: The CX985 is a great way to have quick access to 400 disks but with some serious drawbacks, most notably in ease of use and quality of playback.
The standalone Sony does not interface with a PC or network for easy update of the disk info... |

Pros: Price and Capacity
Cons: Has a Reading Disability
The Bottom Line: Good second juke if you need one

Review: Pioneer and Sony make the only DVD jukeboxes available at this time. I've had a Sony DVP-CX985U for about a year and a Pioneer DV-F727 for about a month. This was a costly learning experience for me.
The Sony has a major problem: It don't... |

Pros: 400 dvd's! Very easy to use.
Cons: Big! price $379.99 but it's worth the money if you have a lot of movies.
The Bottom Line: Great unit if you own a lot of movies and don't want 'dvd-droppings' all around the house.

Review: Recently I had purchased Sony's newest 400 disc dvd/cd/sacd/mp3/cdr-w/dvd-+r-w (probably more) player from Best Buy. Working in the Home Theater dept. I get to see a LOT of dvd players. This one really caught all of our eyes. I was a little taken...
